This guide is specifically tailored for Growers. If you're a Consumer, please refer to the Consumer onboarding guide.

Step 1: Download the App
  • Download the CGS App from the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS).
  • Once installed, open the app to begin your Grower registration.
Step 2: Choose Your User Type
  • Select Business (Grower) on the signup screen.
Step 3: Complete the KYC Process

As a Grower, completing Know Your Customer (KYC) verification is required for compliance with food safety regulations and ensuring quality standards.

  • Important: We do not hold or store any KYC information. This data is processed securely by a trusted third-party service, which returns only a verification response to us.
  • Submit required information, including identification documents, via the secure KYC portal within the app. Approval is usually quick, allowing you to proceed once verified.
Step 4: Set Up Your Profile

Your Grower profile is essential to building trust with consumers. Include the following details:

  • Business or Garden Name: Enter the name of your business, farm, or garden.
  • Years in Operation: Let buyers know your level of experience in growing and supplying produce.
  • Store Locations: Provide the address(es) of your store or farm, including pickup points if applicable.
  • Profile Description: Write a brief introduction about your farm or garden, highlighting your growing practices and any unique aspects of your operation.
  • Upload Photos: Add pictures of your garden, farm, or market to bolster consumer trust and showcase the quality of your produce.
Step 5: Create Listings

Start listing your fresh produce on the platform:

  • Produce Details: Add the names, quantities, and prices of the items you’re selling.
  • Quality Descriptions: Include details about the quality, freshness, or any certifications (e.g., organic, pesticide-free).
  • Availability: Indicate when the items will be available for purchase.
  • Photos: Upload clear, appealing images of your produce to attract buyers.
Step 6: Set Delivery and Pickup Schedules

Growers can offer both pickup and delivery options:

  • Delivery Schedule: Set available days and times for delivery. You may also enable optional third-party delivery services.
  • Pickup Schedule: Provide the hours when customers can collect their purchases directly from your location.
  • Route Optimization: Utilize CGS’s in-app route tools to optimize delivery routes and reduce travel time.
Step 7: Explore Additional Features
  • Growth Forecasting: Enter your planting schedules into the app to contribute to predictive supply and demand algorithms. This feature helps you plan ahead and ensure you grow what’s in demand.
  • Notifications: Receive updates about consumer needs, allowing you to adjust listings and meet demand efficiently.
  • Community Resources: Access Grower forums and guides, including tips to improve crop quality, increase yields, and reduce waste.
Step 8: Manage Payments
  • Auto-Withdrawal: Set up automatic withdrawal of your earnings to your local bank account.
  • Low Fees: The only deductions are for blockchain-to-local currency conversion and third-party transaction fees. CGS does not charge withdrawal fees.
  • Track Earnings: Monitor your earnings and sales trends through the revenue app’s dashboard.
