A recent analysis by the Farmers Business Network (FBN) highlights substantial price variations in agricultural chemicals across the United States. The 2025 U.S. Ag Chemical Price Transparency Report, based on over 1,390 unique pricing data points from June 2024 to January 2025, uncovers disparities of up to 211% between the highest and lowest prices paid for identical products nationwide. Regionally, price differences reach up to 108%, indicating that farmers in the same area may pay vastly different amounts for the same chemicals. Notably, the report suggests that U.S. farmers could have saved an average of 32% by purchasing through FBN compared to other retailers. These findings underscore the need for greater transparency in the agricultural chemical market to ensure fair pricing for all producers.
